"Development
of an Efficient Representation of Agricultural Interests
After the Reform Treaty"
The "Agricultural and Rural
Youth Association, Hungary", the Romanian "Federažia Organizažiilor de Tineret
din Regiunea Ciuc", and the Bulgarian "National Dairy Board of Bulgaria"
organisations started to make a common project within the confines of the Citizenship
Programme with the title "Development of an Efficient Representation of Agricultural
Interests After the Reform Treaty"
The aim of the cooperation, and the
common project were as follow:
- in the region, well organised, up to
date interest representing organisations work, who represent effectively the generational
interests, those are able to use the new interest enforcement opportunities given by the
new Reform Treaty while keeping the connection continously with the farmers
- stregthen the role and citizen
activity because through the cooperation of the farmers and the telecentres they connect
to the vocational information flood
- the role of women become more
balanced and emphasised on the fields of vocational interest representation and
agricultural activities
- the newly forming young farmer
organisations of Bulgaria and Romania become active partners of regional and -by the help
of CEJA-, of European level professional cooperation though the CERYC Project.
To reach these goals, we organised 3
workshops in the confines of the project.
The first was held in Hungary, Budapest, 13th-15th of November, 2008. Here 74 deputies
were participated representing the Romanian, German, Czech, Slovak, Polish, Slovenian and
Hungarian young farmers. The European Council of Young Farmers - CEJA was represented by
the president, Giacomo Ballari.
The second workshop was held in Romania, 5th-7th of February, 2009 with huge attendance
with the participation of 106 young farmers from Slovenia, Slovakia, Romania and Hungary.
The third event was held in Bulgaria, 5th-7th of March, 2009, with the participation of 32
Romanian, Bulgarian and Hungarian young farmers, and Inga Klawitter, the secretary general
of the CEJA.
These events contribute to our aims
by giving the opportunity to the participating organisations to make connections both
formally and informally, and in the forms of round table debates help them to receive the
new informations, to share their experience and to find the "best practices", to
conciliate their thoughts, ideas, initiatives, and to define the common strategies.
Besides we have to mention that thanks to the cooperation, the partner organisations and
the professional support of the CEJA, the new and independent Bulgarian and Romanian young
farmer organisations were funded with the names: "National Young Farmers' Association
in Bulgaria" and "Romanian Young Farmers' Association" and by doing this,
they passed into the regional cooperation, the CERYC, and according to our expectations,
the two new organisations will become members of the CEJA as soon as possible.
